DC, Listen up! by Lordwormm DC, Listen up! by Lordwormm
The only thing I would have 100% confidence of is running WB's plans for a DC cinematic roll out!

I mean, they have such a vast playground to work in.

Conquer the Cinematic universe with single aspects of a huge mosaic universe...

Batman/Superman - Cityscapes in contrast - Dark/Bright Aspect
Aquaman - Adventure/Underwater Aspects
Wonder Woman- Mythological/Femdom Aspects
Flash - Midwest, City Protector, Lighthearted Aspect
Green Lantern - Cosmic Guardian/Space Aspect
Plastic Man - Humor/Adventure/Secret Agent Aspect

At some point in each of these flicks, Martian MAnhunter makes a vague cameo. Be it red eyes in an alley, a green arm reaching out from the shadows, an invisible form sliding out of frame, a mental flash or contact in a dream or Batman realizing something is in his mind.
This will lead into the Justice League Movie!!

PERFECT. I know it's stealing a beat from Nick Fury/Marvel cameos but who cares.

Then comes the wave of perfect kid/family entertainment to rival Disney/Marvel.

WONDER TWINS: The Movie
Angel & The Ape, Detective series or movie!
Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew CGI film, then TV show.
HERO HOTLINE: The Movie!
METAL MEN! Would make for a fantastic series of family films!
CAptain Marvel can be the bright spot that they refuse to make Superman into, fun and family friendly. With Tawky Tawny as his sidekick and Mr. Mind and Sivana as villains! Amazing potential!

Meanwhile continue to introduce other DC characters through tv and film, tying each to the main universe.
JLA DARK: Dr Fate, Phantom Stranger, Spectre, Demon, Deadman, Swamp Thing, Constantine, tied to the JLA by Zatanna.

This can lead to Stand alone films for anyone who catches the audience's fancy!

HAWKMAN & ATOM: Space and Science form this unlikely team up for a stand alone film.
Green Arrow/Black Canary move from the small to big screen.

Robin, becomes Nightwing, Wonder Girl, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Speedy have all been shown or referenced in their counterparts' flicks so they team up. In the sequels that follow the roster can change and we meet Cyborg, Raven, Changeling, etc.

Batman forms a side group of the outsiders, Superman meets the Legion of SuperHeroes. The NEW GODS! Imagine that movie! It could follow the JLA flick that pits them against Darkseif. The New Gods show up at the end to take Darkseid back and they spin off too!

Can you tell I've thought this out? :)

It's nice that you started this off with the original 7. Great Ideas :) I think a scifi life on mars movie for Martian Manhunter would be cool.

You are brilliant!  Perhaps they will tell a bit of his backstory in the JLA movie!

I always imagined a MM movie being a sort of a sci fi/conspiracy theory movie, where humans accidentally teleport him on Earth or he tries to reach someone on Earth telepathically and travel here or something like that and government agencies are searching for him, he goes into hiding and tries to blend in while simultaneously learning about life on Earth and learning to do the right thing and be a hero. I don't know. Maybe it's dumb, but something along these lines would be interesting to see and pretty original for a superhero movie.

No way, I think that's a brilliant idea.  That seems to be what's missing from the studio mindset.  Comics, even superheroes, aren't just one dimensional cookie cut outs.

You described the perfect MM film here.  Tapping into a secretagencychasethriller/scifi/revelatoryhopefuldrama genre that studios have never considered for superhero movies.  I can't wait to see it.

A family movie inspired by Who Framed Roger Rabbit with only the metal men and the Gas Gang in CGI could be awesome. It would take someone realy good and funny to play dr Magnus.

John Constantine needs a new film where he is a blond brittish jerk. Making him american was like painting Batman white.

Agreed, they could easily pull that off with the Metal Men.  The level of reality would be perfect for malleable robotic humanoids.

Also agreed, I was just aghast to see them choose Keanu Reeves for John, terrible, terrible idea.

Ugh.

How about David Tennant as Dr Magnus?

Can't think of anyone good to play Constantine though.

I can totally see David Tennant a Magnus.  Constantine, hmmm Tim Roth, Hugh Laurie, Joseph Fiennes, Gary Oldman?  :)

Since the Metal Men have kind of cartoony personalities we can have some good cartoon voices like Scott McNeil do their voices.

If Hugh Laurie was younger he would make a great Constantine.

It's too bad WB hates and/or is embarrassed by superheroes. Because I'd really like the DC Movieverse you've set out here. I guess we'll just have to do this with our own characters. LET'S GO!

Exactly, imagine if Joss Whedon caught wind of our combined worlds and decided to make a movie version!

Well thought out indeed!... One movie I believe would be needed BEFORE they commit to a justice league movie ( if they really want to avoid the marvel movies formula as they claim ) would be a WORLD'S FINEST movie first!.. ' IF' they could do that movie up right with their biggest box-officers in Batman and Superman.. Then bringing them back later for the whole justice league movie would be like pre- sold tickets!.. The question is.. with Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale done with Batman.. And questioning the over all success of Superman, Man of Steel... How well dose the DC movie future look ?

You are totally right.  In order for this to work, I should have put Bats and Supes in the middle.

Their dual flick should provide the cornerstone.  The Dark/Bright Contrast.  More importantly everyone in the world has seen 100 bat and super flicks, time to team up or risk losing potential audience members who aren't fans and don't want to see another "origin" piece.

I think they are at least going to take a stab at the expanded universe, just hope the get a DC lover/historian to be in charge of the continuity.

Thanks and I agree that Superman and Batman Emote ....and for that matter Spidey  too , have done enough origin movies! As far as the DC movies go, I'd like to think their at least smart enough not over look the need for a DC expert... least they unleash the abomination of (SHUDDER) :iconmnrderpplz: ... Another CATWOMAN movie! Nosebleed May the heavens have mercy on their souls!

Your ideas are awesome!

However the problem with WB is that it's a traditional movie studio where execs vie for the quick buck based on this project or that property instead of trying to tie everything together like Marvel Studios. Also, they need to have one guy running the show creatively and pushing for a unified vision like Kevin Feige.

Also, a Legion of Super-Heroes movie would be OUTSTANDING! :D

I have no hope, honestly.  I mean, you can make a good story out of any idea (almost any idea, anyway), but WB hasn't done anything to prove to me that they have any idea what they're doing.

So I won't be holding my breath.

You may be right, it seems logical to me that one would research the history and fan base and stick with some basic bullet points that have made characters/stories popular for years.

True, very true, but on the other hand, what has logic to do with how WB makes movies?

When it comes to movies, I have a Guantanamo Bay approach: I assume everything is shit until it proves itself otherwise.  Less disappointment that way.

That has proved to be quite the useful tool for me as well.  It worked with me on Man of Steel.

I didn't even bother to see that.  I've never liked Zach Snyder and Nolan lost a lot of cred with me over Dark Knight Rises.

Agreed.  I am hard pressed to find anything to like in DKRises.  Man of Steel, didn't bother me as I expected.  I might also be forcing myself to like it knowing it's the root of the DC movie universe reboot.
