Thidin

The Thidin are from a rocky, mountainous planet called Thid. 

They are a bipedal species with armored plates lining their limbs and back and a thick, tough hide.
Thid is a hot, dry world, and Thidin have an intricate biological function by which they draw in condensation from air molecules and can recycle this hydration inside their water sacks. 
They are a space faring race, though many have experienced a great number of Thidin encounters, proving them to be a somewhat skeptical and possibly xenophobic race.  It has come to light that a great number of Thidin discourage leaving the home planet and are likewise reluctant to accept visitors to their planet. 

They are typically around 8' tall and they specialize in defensive weaponry.
